Addiction Treatment

I have committed many years work developing treatment protocols for addiction to drugs and alcohol. When the trial clinic was first set up in New Zealand House, Water Street, Liverpool it was visited by Prince Charles who took a keen interest in the new treatment system. He spent half a day meeting staff and talking to addicts receiving free treatment at the drop-in centre. What is worthy of note is that Prince Charles insisted, despite the security concerns, that no addict should be turned away because of his presence. Indeed one of our regulars nearly bumped into him in the foyer of the building as she attended for her session.

My constant aim was to make the system accessible to as many people as possible with addiction problems. Success in this regard is measured by the way the system has been integrated along with conventional addiction treatments. The biophysical treatment system affectionately known by clients as 'Black Box' was trialled in Liverpool and the first addiction centre specifically set up to provide free access to it was an organisation called DRUG FREE founded in 1989 and later incorporated into Community Integrated Care
(CIC).

Today the
Biophysical Solutions System has been integrated into the treatment approach of many drug treatment centres throughout the UK and the therapy continues to develop and expand into other areas of medicine.
